Nonce words.

My pal (and by now yours too since he’s around here so oftenCarl further exemplifies the dull after-lives of those whose minds have been destroyed by working 20 or more years for the gummint by directing my (and yours too since etc.) attention to a post on this site, devoted to ephemeral words, which are not really words but maybe should be.

And from there you can go to this site, which is a collection of such words.

Cool.

You have to like words and ideas and language and understand all three in order to appreciate nonce words, of course. To do so demands an inquiring mind, active thought processes and intelligent curiosity.

In that sense, the concept might be defined as antipalinesque.  Or perhaps unbusheological.

Hey, I think I’m getting the hang of it.
