Quoth Newt Gingrich, admitted philanderer and phony, again showing the wisdom that makes him the man he is:
“[McCain’s campaign suspension was] the greatest single act of responsible leadership ever taken by a presidential candidate.”
The second greatest, of course, was when McCain pulled the same gambit back in 2000 in the GOP primaries.
The third will be pulling Sarah Palin from the veep debate for reasons of national security….
And, let’s admit it, that one’s justified.
We all will all feel a little more secure if we never hear from her again.
