Just Imagine If It Was Bill Clinton.

I hate that kind of headline and the underlying argument because it takes us back into the past rather than having us look to the future, but I have to say that it’s what came to mind as I read this. Granted it sometimes takes the Right Wing Scream & Smear Machine to make a story like this gain wings, but the way it has been ignored and the almost criminal way the national press does not call John McCain to task for his distortions and lies, fumbling and bumbling, leaves any rational observer to conclude that there is some serious defect in the nation’s political coverage and that, deliberately or not, it is slanted to one side. And that’s scary.
